Notes for Notes® (N4N) Cleveland seeks out the youth with a dream who has limited means of pursuing it, using the great equalizer of music to create equitable opportunity amongst diverse youth all over the city. Our studio is open to all youth ages 5-18 inside the Boys & Girls Club Broadway Clubhouse. N4N seeks to help in the growth of independent thinkers through evidence-based practices empowering young members of our community. When youth come together with a common passion, they become connected to and empathic toward the situations others face, developing a stronger sense of compassion and community. Funded by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, our 2019 Summer program features the “Journey of a Song.”

During this program, our talented Program Director Ryan Easter is engaging a core group of dedicated youth and guiding them through a two week musical journey. Youth have been setting their own goals throughout the project and track their progress through journaling and podcasting. Every aspect of N4N’s programming is focused on both musical and youth development goals, moving youth to develop the N4N Core Pillars of Success: Confidence, Creativity, Compassion, and Community. The program is being rolled out starting with instrumentation, followed by songwriting, production and, lastly, marketing and career exploration. The final showcase presenting all that they have accomplished will be held July 30th from 3pm to 5pm at the Broadway Club.
