Art in the Park is a program for children age 5-12 with a focus on the science and nature found in the Tuxedo Park in Brooklyn Heights; projects incorporate music, motion and a variety of art mediums.
Art in the Park is a summer program which primarily takes place in the Tuxedo Avenue park in Brooklyn Heights on Monday and Wednesday from 12:30-3:00. Other venues are announced on a weekly basis.
Children 5-12 hike, go on scavenger hunts, make crafts and art project with natural materials. The main focus is on the science and nature found in the Tuxedo Park in Brooklyn Heights. Other sessions include introduction to music, motion and art mediums of all kinds.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Registration is done on a first come, first served basis in order to ensure sufficient volunteer to children ratio and enough materials and snacks for all campers.

Most sessions are outdoors. Appropriate clothing for outdoors is required. Take into account heat and sun, insects (it’s a park!) and humidity.
Park pavilion where session takes place is wheelchair accessible with notice. (gate is locked to ensure safety of the children)
