The Star-Spangled Spectacular concert with The Cleveland Orchestra includes classical and patriotic favorites along with a fireworks display, pre-concert performances, food truck vendors, and other fun activities!
While this annual tradition typically takes place around Independence Day, this year it will take place in August due to the 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Game / Play Ball Park activities throughout Downtown Cleveland in early July.
This annual concert celebrates our nation and our incredible Northeast Ohio community with music performed by The Cleveland Orchestra.The concert, led by guest conductor Loras John Schissel, will include classical and patriotic favorites. The performance is capped off with a spectacular fireworks display.
Pre-concert entertainment includes a video presentation and performances by local and regional groups, including Cleveland Police Pipes & Drums. Food truck vendors will be open to the public, and guests can enjoy a variety of activities!
Food truck vendors include: Beckham’s B&M Barbeque, 216 Bistro, Barrio Tacos, Chef Grey Wolf, East Coast Custard, and Nom Nom Popcorn.
The Star-Spangled Spectacular will take place rain or shine! – In case of inclement weather, the Star-Spangled Spectacular will be held at the Cleveland Public Auditorium, located next to Mall B at 500 Lakeside Avenue.

10:15 p.m. – Approximate conclusion of concert, followed by fireworks (weather permitting)
A pair of free Star-Spangled Spectacular Family Workshops will take place in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Public Library on Tuesday, August 6 — at their branches in Solon (10:00 a.m.) and Berea (6:30 p.m.). These unique workshops will preview the music and help families prepare for the following day’s special performance.
