Heights Music Hop is a free, live music festival that takes place in more than 30 unique venues in the Coventry Village (Thursday, Sept. 12), Cedar Fairmount (Friday, Sept. 13), and Cedar Lee (Saturday, Sept. 14) neighborhoods of Cleveland Heights, a city that is “home to the arts”. The venues include restaurants, bars, retail shops and other (unexpected) locations, such as the library and an auto repair shop.
Musical acts will cover a wide range of styles, including folk, rock, jazz, hip hop, R&B and classical, that showcase the diversity of the Cleveland Heights community. Performances will be staggered and visitors will be encouraged to “hop” around to several venues in each walkable district to experience a variety of music in unique settings. Many venues will offer food and drink specials. Other businesses in the district will extend their hours and offer discounts or specials to enhance the experience. Visitors can plan their “hop” by referencing the online and printed schedule and map. Volunteer community ambassadors will help them find their way.
