Playwrights Local announces its annual fundraiser event, “Summer Rally 2019: Telling Our Story.” Scheduled performers include Dee Perry, Molly McFadden, and Mike Geither. Planned speakers include Mary E. Weems, Ph.D., Sarah Greywitt, and Les Hunter.

Playwrights Local is the only theater in the Cleveland area devoted to locally written works. Serving the entire region of Northeast Ohio, the company has presented eleven full productions, five festivals, two professional radio plays, and dozens of free classes, staged readings, and outreach projects since 2015.
