The World in Your Backyard series presents Greece – its people and culture. Eleni Papouras-Jenks speaks about her parents home country and her experiences there.
Each program in the World in Your Backyard series provides insights into the diverse peoples and cultures of each featured country. Presenters are either foreign-born or first-generation representatives of the country. There is a 40-minute presentation followed by 20 minutes of Q&A by participants. Presentations are followed by a sampling of food from the country. This is the third year the series is hosted by the City of Solon, Department of Recreation, Senior Services. The event is not open to the public and is provided by the City of Solon Senior Services.
Each event in the series costs $5.00 per person, paid in advance. Each event is open only to pre-registered members of the Solon Senior Center. They are not open to the public and do not accept walk-in participants. Non-members of the Solon Senior Center are not eligible to register or attend any of the programs of the Senior Center.
