Together with the generous support of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and The Cleveland Foundation, LYLESART, a 501(c)3 Arts and Culture Non-profit organization, are extremely excited to work with the student scholars at Anton Grdina this 2019 calendar year!

Our Artucation workshop is our youth development workshops that cultivate community engagement through instructional art practices. Students are exposed to specialized artists in new media who discuss their careers. This programing provides hands-on experience by pairing professional artists with middle level students and their instructors.

We are pleased to showcase this years, Anton Grdina Portrait Project 2019. The works of over 30 student artists from Anton Grdina Elementary School will be exhibited this year. Over the course of 12 weeks under the direction of professional Artist, September Shy, complex feeling and emotion went from vision to art, into thirty-plus visually stunning self-portrait paintings!

The Artucation Workshop Public reception is Friday May 17th. 2019 at 3.00 pm. The Exhibition will be on display from May 17, 2019 until August 16, 2019. All artwork created by the 7th grade scholars from Anton Grdina Academy, Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
