HILLCREST CONCERT BAND PRESENTS A
MUSICAL AMERICANA!

The HILLCREST CONCERT BAND will begin its 2019 Performance Tour with a performance of a musical AMERICANA! on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. The concert will begin at 7:30PM in the Regina Auditorium at Notre Dame College. The auditorium has comfortable seating, convenient parking, and is air-conditioned. It is located at 1857 South Green Road – across from the new library – in South Euclid. Admission to the SPRING CONCERT is always free; donations are welcome, and recordings will be sold.

The nation’s rich heritage of music will be explored and presented by the HILLCREST CONCERT BAND at the SPRING CONCERT, and throughout the 2019 Summer Performance Tour. “AMERICANA” includes lots of favorite folk tunes: Down In The Valley, Little Brown Jug, Erie Canal, Chester, Hail Columbia, When Johnny Comes Marching Home, and even a John Philip Sousa: “Fugue on Yankee Doodle”. The Finale from the Fourth Movement of the New World Symphony will be presented, as well as selections from the historic musical: “1776”. Aaron Copland’s “Outdoor Overture”, and Carmen Dragon’s arrangement of “America, The Beautiful” are included in the concert.
