Visiting from Berlin, artist Lila Rose Kole returns to Northeast Ohio for two weeks of workshops, artist talks, and exhibitions of new work 

Known for paintings imbued with abstract colors and emotive compositions, Lila Rose Kole works and plays in her atelier in Berlin, Germany where she collaborates with her partner, Kenno Apatrida, an outsider artist who has been making and exhibiting internationally for more 20 years.

Lila’s artistic roots are in Northeast Ohio. She began her prolific career as a working artist while Gallery Director of Hartshorn Studios in Tremont and later co-partnered and opened a gallery, The Vault, in 78th Street Studios. Her compelling artwork met immediate critical and commercial success. Numerous solo and group shows followed, including the 2015 New York Solo Expo. During an extended sabbatical to Europe and the Middle East in 2016, Lila encountered new ways of art making and of living a life in art.  Intrigued by what she found, she moved to Berlin to explore her creative life more deeply.
