NAMI Greater Cleveland will host its Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 23, at the Holiday Inn-Independence, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The event includes a presentation by Rita Abdallah, LISW-S LCSW-C, ACSW titled Self-Care: Are you Following the Yellow Brick Road?
In addition, NAMI Greater Cleveland will recognize 11 individuals and organizations for their efforts on behalf of those living with mental illness. The honorees are:
Jonathan Epstein of Shaker Hts. will receive The Scott Adamson Memorial Peer Award
Lisa Moser of Strongsville: Mental Health Family Caregiver Award
Anita B. Bradley, founder of Northern Ohio Recovery Association: Valeria A. Harper Cultural Competence in Mental Health Award
Kenneth G. Alexander, M.Ed., LPCC, LICDC-CS, Cleveland Clinic: Mental Health Provider Award
Beech Brook: Eugene Brudno Memorial Organization Award
Terrance Coursen of Collinwood High, and a Bay Village resident: Mental Health Teen Award
Oficer Michael Viancourt, Cleveland Police Department – Fourth District: Crisis Intervention Team Award
Lee Rutti of Rocky River: Outstanding Community Service Award
Danielle Serino of WKYC-TV3: Outstanding Advocacy Award for Mental Health in Media & Journalism
Alpha Kappa Alpha – Alpha Omega: Outstanding Community Partner
Alpha Kappa Alpha – Lambda Phi Omega: Outstanding Community Partner
Tickets are $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers before May 13. After May 13, ticket prices increase to $50 for members and $60 for nonmembers.
