The Art of the Short Story: Intermediate Fiction Writing

A four-session intermediate-level short story writing workshop.

This class is designed for students who have some experience with short-story writing and who are looking to deepen their storytelling skills. You already know the basics, but now you want the skills to motivate yourself to write stories regardless of whether a deadline is waiting for you. In this workshop, we’ll complete writing exercises to help you shape your story, discuss more advanced elements of craft, and write and workshop your story (or story-in-progress) in a creative and supportive environment. Led by novelist, short story author, essayist, screenwriter, playwright, and writing teacher Scott Lax.
