Marilyn Bianchi Kids' Playwriting Festival

Marilyn Bianchi Kids' Playwriting Festival

Presented by Dobama Theatre at Dobama Theatre

Students write and submit original plays for consideration in the Marilyn Bianchi Kids\’ Playwriting Festival. Every play will be read and scored by at least three judges, all of whom have writing, education and/or theatre experience. Readers award points on the basis of imagination and human values as much as playwriting skills. The age and grade of each playwright will be taken into consideration by the judges.

Between 8 and 12 high-scoring plays will be selected for production on Dobama\’s stage for the Festival performances in June. The initial benefit performance (June 7) is ticketed, but the other performances are free general admission.

Admission Info

The initial benefit performance on June 7 (with the reception and award ceremony) is $25 per ticket. The other two performances are free to the public, first come first serve.
