UpStage Players will perform Lion King Jr to celebrate 25 years of producing professional level children’s Broadway theatre. Four perfromances total: three evening performances at 7:30 pm on March 21, 22, 23. One afternoon performance will be on Sunday, March 24 at 2:30 pm.

Our history: UpStage Players started in 1994 when a mother could not seem to find a place for her five daughters to belong, to fit in, to grow, and to thrive.

So, together with her husband and daughters, Mrs. Bernadette Walsh created UpStage Players. The Walsh Family pulled their resources together and produced UpStage’s first non-profit children’s Broadway production, Camelot, at the Bratenahl Community Center.

What started as a time of frustration for Mrs. Walsh  (because she could not find a welcoming group for her daughters), has evolved into a wildly successful, fun, all-inclusive theatre company dedicated to instilling a love of theatre, while building leadership and community.

Throughout the last 25 years, the UpStage Players community has grown and come together to create a live Broadway children’s production every March. We hope you join us as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary March 21, 22, 23 and 24. www.upstageplayers.com
