As part of Westown Community Development’s partnership with Cleveland Public Library, Eastman Branch this is the 2nd Meet the Author event.  Featured speaker, John Hildebrandt, author of Always Cedar Point. Raised in Westpark, he takes readers on the ride of his life with an insider’s view of working at the worlds’ greatest amusement park, near and dear to Clevelander’s hearts! Beginning as a ride operator at age 20 to becoming the park’s general manager 35 years later, John brings us inside the fascinating world of what it takes to market and operate a destination built on fun. His marketing skills created the campaigns that introduced legacy roller coasters including the Corkscrew, Gemini & Millennium Force. After retirement from Cedar Point, John now serves as Director of The Sandusky Public Library and he and his wife Marie are co-authors of Lake Erie’s Shores and Islands. ADA accessible.
