Using Jean-Michel Basquiat’s layered style, rich with text and symbolism, we are going to create mixed media works exploring our own identities. Basquiat’s artwork was informed by his identity as an American man of Haitian and Puerto Rican descent. We are going to lean about his life and work while creating pieces speaking to who we are as individuals.
