Dugway Brook Spring Stream Sweep

Dugway Brook Spring Stream Sweep

Presented by Doan Brook Watershed Partnership at Forest Hill Park (parking lot off Lee Blvd. in Cleveland Heights by baseball diamonds)

Litter such as plastic bags, bottles, food wrappers, Styrofoam, and coffee cups wash down storm drains that connect to local streams and rivers – ultimately ending up in Lake Erie, our source of drinking water. Individuals, families and community groups will have the chance to get a little wet, a little dirty, and have a lot of fun pulling trash and debris from the stream corridor or pulling invasive garlic mustard from the surrounding banks.

Volunteers will meet at the Forest Hill Park parking lot off Lee Blvd. in Cleveland Heights (Forest Hill Baseball Diamonds parking lot on Google maps) on Saturday, April 20 at 12:30 pm.  Gloves and trash bags will be provided, as well as refreshments.  Warm clothing and waterproof boots are recommended.
