One World Day at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens will be celebrated for the 74th year with an expanded Parade of Flags, a naturalization ceremony for new U.S. citizens, ethnic food and music, and performers in the Garden’s new Peace Plaza.
One World Day is a family friendly event that celebrates our region’s diversity. It takes place on Martin Luther King Jr. and East Boulevards in the many Cleveland Cultural Gardens. The Parade of Flags will feature units from more than 40 countries. Since 1945, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation has celebrated One World Day in the Gardens. This annual event reflects the theme of the Gardens: “Peace through Mutual Understanding.”
Following the parade, enjoy watching the naturalization ceremony, then enjoy great food, music, dance and cultural learning and celebrations in the gardens. Children can get their “passports to peace” booklets stamped when they visit each new culture in the garden, then turn them in for a prize.
