The Collective Arts Network (CAN) is a collaborative of nearly 100 Northeast Ohio arts organizations. The CAN Journal is the collective effort of these arts galleries and organizations, coming together to make their own media in the form of a quarterly publication. This publication highlights our region’s art making with upcoming exhibits and events, with independent reporting and commentary.

Join us at Worthington Yards in Downtown Cleveland to celebrate the release of the Spring 2019 CAN Journal! It will be a night of networking, camaraderie, and tons of fun – plus: pick up your very own brand new CAN Journal hot off the press.

And you can learn about our fabulous hosts – Worthington Yards and YARDS Projects! YARDS Projects aims to shine a spotlight on Cleveland area artists as an art hub in Cleveland’s Warehouse District. Here, new audiences can experience and collect the work of regional artists through quarterly rotating exhibitions, artist talks, artist and community mixers, performances, film screenings, on and offsite studio visits, and gallery tours.

The CAN Journal launch will coincide with the art opening ‘Trade Marks’, examining the challenges regional artists face who hug the commercial field and fine art world in their practices. The exhibition considers the impact commercial art has on the NEO avant-garde and offers a fresh view on the artists tenuous relationship to a 21st century torn and liberated marketplace.
