On Friday, March 1st join moCa Cleveland for a special edition of eCLEctic where we celebrate one of Cleveland’s most legendary artist collectives, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Hailing from the Cleveland streets of E 99th & St. Clair, these five self-professed Thugs took the world by storm. What made Bone Thugs-N-Harmony unique was the fact that in addition to bringing their stories of thug life from the streets of their Glenville neighborhood, was their signature melodic flow that changed hip-hop music forever. When the group dropped their debut album, Creepin On Ah Come Up, no one in rap sounded like them and they influenced millions of fans, some of which were other notable hip-hop artists. Inspired by the passing of their beloved mentor and legend, Eazy-E, their Grammy Award Winning song, “Tha Crossroads,” solidified the Cleveland collective as Hip-Hop Godfathers inspiring a generation of artists to come after them. Bone Thugs is the only rap group to have recorded with hip-hop legends Eazy-E, 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G.
