Dinner with a Slice of History

Dinner with a Slice of History

Presented by International Women's Air & Space Museum at Burke Lakefront Airport

Don’t miss the chance to meet the great-niece of Bessie Coleman and hear the story of this aviation pioneer who refused “to take no for an answer!” After being denied access to American flight schools because of her race and gender, Coleman traveled to France, where she became the first African-American woman to obtain a pilot’s license. In honor of Black History Month, Gigi Coleman will be at IWASM to perform her one-woman show based on the life of her great-aunt. This event will inspire guests of all ages to follow their dreams. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. with presentation to follow.

*Seating is limited

The 2019 Dinner Series is made possible from the residents of Cuyahoga County through a grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
