Repeated forms and/or patterns generate widely different and intriguing results in the small to large-scale digital prints, drawings and sculpture works of artists Barbara Bachtell, Catherine Butler, Juli Edberg and Alan Burton Tucker.
Four Cleveland Heights-based artists are kicking off the new year with a joint exhibit of their works, “Repetitions + Inventions”, at the Beachwood Community Center Gallery, 25325 Fairmount Boulevard. The exhibit runs January 9 -31, and a free public reception with the artists will take place on Sunday, January 13, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. The four artists, Barbara Bachtell, Catherine Butler, Juli Edberg and Alan Burton Tucker, all utilize repeated forms and/or patterns in their small to large-scale works, with widely different and intriguing results. The exhibit will include drawings, collage, sculpture and large format digital prints. Bachtell, Butler, and Edberg are all graduates of Cleveland Institute of Art. Tucker is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design.
