The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra presents “Bern, Bern, Bern” featuring drummer Bernie Dresel–May 17 (BLU Jazz+) and 18 (Ohio Theatre, Playhouse Square) Following and expanding on the great lineage of jazz big band drumming, Bernie currently leads The BBB Featuring Bernie Dresel. The former drummer for Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and The Brian Setzer Orchestra also has hundreds of TV and movie credits. Bernie has been heard with everyone from Maynard Ferguson to Ringo Starr to James Brown to Frank Sinatra. This concert will feature Bernie’s high octane playing and music from his recordings.
