Join us in an exhibition featuring Linda Butler, photographer, and Margaret Brouwer, composer, at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. This reception is free and open to the public, however advance registration is required.
Lake Erie: On the Edge is an exhibit of photographs by internationally known Cleveland photographer, Linda Butler. The images in this exhibition will lead viewers on a nearly 900-mile circuitous route along Lake Erie, beginning and ending on the Detroit River. On this visual odyssey, the viewer will see not only the bounty of natural habitats but also how industry, farming, shipping, railroads, human habitation, recreation, and natural areas all compete for space and the benefits Lake Erie provides. The purpose of this exhibition is to allow the Lake to speak – to reawaken our sense of inspiration and our commitment to help preserve this jewel in our midst and the ecosystems and human communities it supports.
