Playwrights Local announces its Summer Rally on Sunday, August 12. The company’s first-ever friendraiser features live theater and music, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction, and more. This family-friendly event runs from at 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Nighttown (12387 Cedar Road, Cleveland, OH 44106). Featured performances include a preview of “Down By Contact,” a new play by Les Hunter premiering on August 17. Live music will be contributed by Trepanning Trio, and testimonials will be delivered by playwrights Faye Sholiton and Luke Brett. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
