Chanda Bynum is a writer, spoken word artist, screenwriter, filmmaker, and native of Cleveland Ohio. She graduated from Cleveland State University (2018), majoring in English and minoring in Creative Writing. She is interested in serving others by telling their personal stories through unique perspectives and visuals to inspire diverse readership, and viewership and bring people from all different backgrounds together. Currently, Chanda is the host of Art of Me: “Power and Community” podcast and the lead writer of their story competition workshops.

Chanda is an alumnus of Cleveland’s President’s Council (2011-2013), a Scholastic Arts and Writing Gold Key winner (2013), and an alumnus of the Nate Parker Foundation class of 2018, where she and her cohorts tell stories that highlight the Black experience and Black history of America and beyond. Within the following year, Chanda hopes to have published her first book and have her first pilot picked up for television.
