Founded in 2012 for the first public, evening performance in the newly renovated Cleveland Museum of Art, OPUS 216 has become one of northeast Ohio’s most dynamic and sought-after chamber ensembles. Comprised of classically-trained professionals, OPUS 216 is unbound by genre, performing everything from soul and string jazz to Irish fiddle, Bach and Beethoven, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and more.

Directed by violinist and founder Ariel Clayton Karas, OPUS 216 performs for hundreds of public and private events each year throughout northeast Ohio. As an ensemble driven by a strong mission for social good, OPUS 216 sponsors monthly performances for the JOIN concert series which brings free music into juvenile correctional facilities, crisis shelters, and social service nonprofits. Their debut album, “Along The Way,” released in June, 2023, and is available on all streaming platforms now. Learn more at www.opus216.com
