Gardening in the District

Gardening in the District educates and gives inner-city residents and youths sustainable health & wellness opportunities with a primary focus on creating an appreciation for gardening and healthy living through hands-on experience, beautifying our neighborhoods, and educational internships.

Gardening in the District’s programs include the Summer Youth Program Gardening Engagement Team, family fitness, and Urban Community Pocket Parks. Community projects include the Annual Book Bag School Supply Giveaway, Jazz in the Gardens, and Haunted Graveyard.
