Connecting for Kids provides resources, support and community to families in Northeast Ohio who have concerns about their child. We serve all families, including those children with and without diagnoses. Resources are available for a number of concerns including anxiety, attention and academics. Connecting for Kids supports families who have children with mental health concerns, developmental delays and disabilities as well as those facing major life changes such as divorce or kinship care. No concern is too big or too small.

Connecting for Kids (CFK) offers three distinct programs: 1) Library Programs, 2) Resources Fairs and 3) The Family Resource Specialist Program. Library programs include support groups for adults, presentations by pediatric professionals and as well as hands-on programs that caregivers attend with their child. All of these are hosted by local public libraries. Three Resource Fairs are now offered, including both Eastern and Western Cuyahoga County Fairs as well as a Lorain County Resource Fairs. Each of these fairs are filled with more than 70 disability and mental health providers offering therapy options, adapted camps, recreational programs and other services. The Family Resource Specialist program offers a CFK staff member who meets with families one-on-one via Zoom, phone or Facebook Messenger to discuss a parent/caregiver’s concerns about their child and assist them in navigating resources to find help.
