Front Steps Housing and Services

Front Steps Housing and Services offers permanent housing solutions and a full range of supportive services under one roof. This has enabled us to engage in long term relationships with our residents and develop Individual Service Plans to help them realize their full potential as independent and productive members of the community. We do not view Front Steps as the endpoint, although all are welcomed to stay as long as they wish, but as the starting point to eventual reintegration into the community.

Front Steps has worked with thousands of homeless individuals over the past 36+ years as both transitional and permanent supportive housing programs and in that time we have found that our residents have been traumatized and are living with mental illness. They also lack a safe and appropriate means of expression to relieve themselves of this burden. Art Therapy has been a significant outlet for residents to constructively and creatively bring meaning to their lives in an individual and social context.
