Position Overview:

We seek a skilled and experienced Live Audio Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in audio engineering and event staging, delivering high-quality sound and visual experiences at live events. The Live Audio Technician will play a critical role in the setup, operation, and teardown of audio, staging, and lighting equipment, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, event planners, and production teams to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored audio, staging, and event production solutions for each event.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio, staging, and lighting equipment including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, trusses, and rigging systems, along with a variety of event production materials. 
• Conduct sound checks, line checks, and equipment tests to ensure optimal audio quality and performance.
• Work closely with stage managers, performers, and presenters to coordinate cues, timing, and technical requirements during live performances.
• Monitor audio levels, signal flow, and cues throughout the event, making real-time adjustments to maintain quality and consistency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards for rigging, electrical wiring, and equipment handling to ensure a safe working environment for all staff, presenters, and attendees.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment, transportation to event sites, and setup of structures as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as an audio technician/sound engineer in the live events industry.
• Proficiency with audio mixing consoles, digital signal processors, and PA systems.
• Strong technical skills in troubleshooting audio with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure quickly.
• Familiarity with mechanical components and ability to perform basic repairs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
• Must be reliable, report on time, and adaptable in stressful situations.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the scheduling needs of live events.
• Ability to work extended days and overtime during peak seasons
• Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in challenging environments.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Must be comfortable driving a variety of non-CDL company trucks (fleet includes trucks up to 26’)
• Video, lighting, and rigging skills are a plus.
