Director, Human Resources

Founded in 1912, The Cleveland Music School Settlement (dba The Music Settlement (TMS)) was built on the ideals of inclusiveness and opportunity for all using music as the common language. TMS has grown from its foundation of music instruction, to also offering early childhood education and music therapy services. In 2018, TMS expanded its mission with the construction of a second campus in the near west side Ohio City neighborhood. Through our three Centers –Music, Early Childhood, and Music Therapy – and our Bop Stop performance venue, TMS caters to a diverse clientele that spans a lifetime.

The primary function of the Director, Human Resources (“HR”) is to coordinate HR policies and programs with emphasis on the benefits and compensation areas, ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the position works closely with the President & CEO in the evaluation, development, and implementation of ongoing HR policies and procedures, training, programs, and organizational functions and activities.
