Writing Coach

America SCORES Cleveland is looking for dedicated writing coaches for the upcoming school year (Fall and Spring seasons).  In the Fall Writing coaches teach Poetry and in the Spring they will teach Community Service. The Fall season will begin on September 5th and go through November 15th. The Spring season begins on February 11th through May 4th. (These dates are subject to change).

America SCORES Cleveland is an after-school program that provides high quality, Writing and Soccer, programming to youth in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Programming takes place after-school, in which times range from 2:30-5:00, Monday through Friday. Writing Coaches coach 2 days a week, though times and days vary depending on the school. America SCORES provides programming at 11 different schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

Writing Coaches must have at least 2 years of college and be able to coach for one full season. The Fall season culminates in a community Poetry SLAM on November 15th where all student participants perform.

This is a paid position, $25 for a 60 minutes session and $35 for a session that is more than 75 minutes.
