We are currently seeking a Tour Manager, who will be responsible for managing the logistics of all Cleveland Orchestra touring/runouts, and assisting in executing production needs for orchestra concerts and productions outside Severance Hall. The Tour Manager will manage all relationships with hotels; identify viable travel schedules; manage travel vendor relationships; communicate tour information to the orchestra; secure documents for the touring party; prepare invoicing for tour guests; prepare and maintain touring itineraries; produce tour book and other internal planning documents; and escort the orchestra on all tours and external concerts.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 5+ years of related experience in orchestra touring and logistics
  • 3-5 years of experience in travel or tourism industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to successfully prioritize to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Regular travel (both domestic and international) required
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional image and demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated independent, mature judgment
  • Responsive, communicative, discreet and calm under pressure
  • Broad knowledge and love of classical music
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with musicians
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and navigate multiple database platforms
