Summer Studio Internship:
The Studio Internship is a 9-week internship that introduces interns to the world of hand papermaking, book arts, and letterpress printing. Each Studio Intern will be working in our various studios to learn papermaking, paper marbling, pulp painting, setting type for the letterpress, and more! Studio Interns will also learn how to prepare the studio for production and assist during custom workshops. Studio Interns may keep 1/4th of the paper they produce during the internship and use their internship hours to gain open studio and workshop credit!

*The Studio Internship is an unpaid, 10 hour per week internship with a flexible schedule. No additional experience is required, and all are welcome to apply!

Community Arts Education Internship:
The Community Arts Internship is a 9-week internship that introduces an intern to the world of community arts. The intern will develop various didactic posters to illustrate papermaking, bookbinding, marbling, and setting letterpress-type techniques in this internship. The didactic posters will be used at on-site and off-site public workshops, demos, and as talking points during studio tours. In addition, the Community Arts Intern will work on creating small "art-to-go" kits that will contain samples used to present the same information but on a smaller, physical scale. Lastly, the Community Arts Intern will assist in on-site and off-site community arts workshops hosted by the Morgan this summer. The Community Arts Intern can use their internship hours to gain open studio or workshop credit!

*The Community Arts Internship is an unpaid, 10 hour per week internship with a flexible schedule. Experience with graphic design or illustration is preferred but not required.

Summer Garden Internship:
The Garden Internship is a seasonal internship that introduces interns to all aspects of the Kozo gardening process. The interns will work in the garden weekly to mulch, weed, and prune the initial Kozo stand of trees in this internship. The Garden Interns will also water the garden and assist in lawn maintenance, plant flax, indigo, torro, and more! In addition, Garden Interns will assist in the Morgan's Annual Kozo Harvest in November 2022 to lop, steam, strip, and scrape Kozo to be used for papermaking. In addition, interns will learn western and eastern papermaking and process dyed materials. Garden Interns can use their internship hours to gain open studio or workshop credit!

*The Garden Internship is an unpaid, 10 hour per week internship with a flexible schedule. The internship starts in the late spring and ends with the Annual Kozo Harvest in November. No additional experience is required, and all are welcome to apply!
