The City of Solon is accepting applications for part-time Coordinator – Senior Activities. This position is within the Senior Services Department located at the Solon Senior Center and reports to the Director of Senior Services. The Activities Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, marketing and evaluation/assessment of recreational wellness programming including: socialization, fitness, life-long learning and arts, with a goal of enriching the lives of older adults.
Bachelor’s or Associates Degree preferred. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Services related field including program planning and implementation. Additional requirements include: the ability to work in a fast paced team environment, possess strong communication, customer service and organizational skills and be able to work with volunteers. This position ranges between 8 – 28 hours, part-time with some evening and/or weekend work, non-civil service (pay P-3) and a starting hourly pay range of $ 17.00 – $19.50/hr. Compensation will be determined based upon experience.
