REIMBURSEMENT: $20-22 an hour, up to 40 Hours/Week 

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Arts Education 

DEPARTMENT: Education 

ASSISTS: CAL Programs  

START DATE: May 1, 2022

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist in the implementation of a broad range of projects and activities of the Education Department (in-school and out-of-school programming) especially CAL Signature Community Programs. Activities include scheduling programs in database, coordinating programming, ensuring effective communication with venues, youth, families, and artists. Opportunities for curriculum implementation.  
  • Support earned revenue programming by making program follow-up calls and emails to existing clients. 
  • Provide clerical support for the Education Department such as coordinating email lists and mailings. 
  • Assist in general program scheduling, data entry for educational activities, and preparation and completion of contracts to artists and schools. 
  • Assist with programming in the community that is supported by grant funding. 
  • Assist with data, support, and documentation for relevant grant proposals and reports. 
  • Assisting in setting and maintaining program physical, cognitive and social cultures 
  • Ensuring that Covid-19 child-care safety protocols are being followed 
  • Performing other duties as needed 

CORE REQUIRED SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, AND KNOWLEDGE: 

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. 
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to working with youth in an out-of-school time setting 
  • Commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion principles 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, strong attention to detail 
  • Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems 
  • Experience working with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Current proof of fingerprinting clearance through the Federal and Ohio State Department of Education is required for employment.
  • Teaching experience with diverse age groups in an urban educational setting is a plus. 

Must have consistent access to a reliable vehicle for transportation. Visits to program locations along with transportation of supplies from CAL office to site required.
