The City of Cleveland, through its Public Art Program, is requesting qualifications from artists or teams of artists interested in developing public artworks to accompany improvements being made to three city parks. Responding artists may express interest in one, two, or all three of the parks.
Rather than submit pre-conceived proposals, the selected artist(s) will work with city staff and community members to develop innovative, original art related to and reflective of the parks and their surrounding neighborhoods.
The artist(s) selected for the project would be expected to design public artworks and manage their fabrication and installation.
This competition is open to all qualified artists or teams of artists above the age of 18. Cleveland artists, especially those with connections to or interest in any of the neighborhoods affected by this call, are strongly encouraged to participate. Please note that funding to cover travel expenses is not available.
