Production Archive Intern

Curious to learn about what happens behind the scenes of your favorite ideastream programs? Are you seeking an internship in a thriving, mission-driven multimedia organization? ideastream’s Operations department is looking for a summer intern to download, edit, and create station archive DVDs for long term storage to ensure a complete record of radio station activities as required within the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandated license period.

Reporting to the Director of Radio Operations, the intern will learn basic audio editing, studio usage and CD/DVD recording and labeling techniques. The intern will learn how to navigate department databases to pull content and become familiar with FCC guidelines and regulations.

Qualified applicants will have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform detail work in an organized and competent manner. This is a paid internship that will be scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week for 10 weeks beginning on/about June 7, 2021. The intern will work in an office environment.
