Praxis Fiber Workshop Seeks a Part-time Gallery Director

Praxis Fiber Workshop seeks a Gallery Director for immediate hire. Apply by Dec. 31!

The Gallery Director develops the exhibition schedule and programming, liaising with all artists and managing the logistics of installation, deinstallation, contracting, promotion, and shipping and receiving of artworks. The Gallery Director works closely with the Studio Manager and Executive Director to support activities such as: fundraising, the internship and fellowship program, social media, and community outreach and partnerships.

Praxis Fiber Workshop is an artist-run community fiber art and educational center located in Cleveland, OH, whose mission is to provide fiber resources and classes to all. The Gallery at Praxis Fiber Workshop is dedicated to exhibiting the breadth and depth of contemporary fiber art.

Candidates should:

•  Have experience in program management and/or gallery coordination
•  Have a demonstrated interest in contemporary fiber art
•  Be exceptionally organized and have thorough knowledge of Google and Adobe Suite, plus clear motivation to contribute to improving the workflow of a small nonprofit organization

This position is 16 hrs/week.
