moCa Cleveland seeks Attendants to Assist with Sonic Blossom,

a Unique Performance-based Art Project

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Sonic Blossom is an interactive performance installation by renowned artist Lee Mingwei. The work features a vocalist who circulates the gallery, selects a guest, and publicly gives them “the gift of song” by performing his or her choice from a repertoire of five Franz Schubert Lieder. The work seeks to generate intimate moments of catharsis, joy, and connection among strangers.

Sonic Blossom has been presented in Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Boston, Taipei, New York, Sydney, Auckland, Frankfurt, Singapore, Washington DC, Paris, and Jakarta. It was selected as “The Best Classical Music of 2015” and “The Best in Art of 2015” in The New York Times for its presentation at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. For more information about Lee Mingwei, including project details and photos, visit www.leemingwei.com.
