Payroll and Benefits Administrator

ideastream, a Cleveland-based multiple media organization and home to Ohio’s largest PBS, NPR, and classical radio stations, seeks an experienced and dedicated full-time Payroll and Benefits Administrator to gather the required payroll data to process ideastream’s bi-weekly payroll. This position will also coordinate all aspects of ideastream’s benefit programs.

Reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, the Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll through Paycor, our HRIS system. Tasks include calculating and entering pay adjustments, commission payments, third-party sick pay, and timecards and time off requests to ensure proper use of earning codes and approval protocols. Additionally, this position will administer group benefit programs, including open enrollment, work collaboratively with carriers and brokers, and process invoices for payment.

Qualified candidates will be proficient using HRIS databases, accounting ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, two to three years of experience processing payroll in an automated system, and two to three years of experience administering employee benefits is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered.
