CityMusic Cleveland is a professional Chamber Orchestra committed to enhancing access to classical performances in local communities. CityMusic performs free orchestra and chamber music concerts in several Cleveland neighborhoods and suburbs, partnering with communities to bring programming to life and serve local residents.

CityMusic Cleveland is seeking a dynamic, part-time office assistant to support the organization’s development and social media/marketing activities. Responsibilities include data entry, donor communications, social media planning and content creation, front-of-house support at CityMusic concerts, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. The idea candidate is creative thinker, detail-oriented, able to strategize and complete tasks independently, and has a knowledge of and love for classical music. This position is approximately 10-15 hours per week, with a range of $12-$14 per hour, based on the candidate’s experience.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Development Support
    • Enter donation information into CRM (Little Green Light), generate and mail thank you letters
    • Assist in creating donor mailings
    • Assist in grants and funder research as assigned
  • Marketing Support
    • Coordinate with staff to create social media plan for concert promotion
    • Create and post social media content
    • Create email blast communications to donors and audience members
  • Concert and Event Support
    • Front-of-house setup prior to concerts
    • Greet audience members and pass out programs
    • Collect donations from audience
  • General Office Support
    • Make website updates (Squarespace)
    • Filing and organization
    • Other office duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

  • 2 years college education, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior office experience, non-profit experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Experience with classical music strongly preferred
  • Experience with social media, marketing and/or publicity preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM applications
  • Experience with Squarespace and Canva preferred
  • Ability to work in our office on the East side of Cleveland
  • Ability to work 2-4 evenings per month at CityMusic concerts
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 required
