Network Engineer (IT)

Your expertise in Information Technology will provide a valuable service to your community. ideastream, Northeast Ohio's Multiple Media, Public Broadcasting organization is seeking a Network Engineer.

This position serves as the third tier of support for ideastream network, systems infrastructure, associated hardware, software and security.
This role will have responsibility for three primary functions: network administration, systems administration, and security.
This position will coordinate with engineering and other functional areas to provide technical and organizational support for departmental networks, servers, and application resources; as well as to provide customer support to those areas.

The successful candidate will have:

• Holistic knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems and software.
  Microsoft, Cisco or VMWare certification strongly desired (or equivalent level experience)
• 4+ years of experience in multiple systems administration environment including: Microsoft server environment, Linux, VMware, Cisco, SAN/NAS, storage/archive systems.
• Experience working in a heterogeneous datacenter environment.
• Systems support and/or systems configuration, software installation and setup experience.
  CISSP or Associate of (ISC)2 designation HIGHLY desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology Management, Computer Science or related field preferred (an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered).
