Hope Grows Here Garden Coordinator

Hours: 25-30 hours a week for 14 weeks; May - August

Location: 3 sites throughout Cleveland
Salary: $18-20/hour
Supervisor: Executive Director

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead approx. 10 weekly garden programs for youth ages 6-21 in residential treatment and foster care. Fostering Hope uses a STEAM compliant garden curriculum that includes both science and art/craft projects
• Maintain 3 therapeutic gardens and outdoor classrooms across Cuyahoga County
• Manage scheduling of program
• Work closely with staff of supporting agencies
• Purchase and manage curriculum supplies

Qualifications & Skills Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, education or horticulture

• Experience working with children using trauma-informed principles
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
• Extensive background check conducted
