Position Summary: assist in the creation of professional development workshops for teachers and administrators. Follow up with in-class coaching
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Work with education team to create professional development for teachers and administrators
- Assist in the development of research based professional learning experiences for teachers and administrators
- Co-plan the facilitation of professional learning experiences
- Facilitate professional development workshops in the schools or at the Idea Center for teachers and administrators
- Evaluate the effectiveness of professional learning experiences and modify accordingly
- Provide in-class coaching as a follow up to professional development (assist with lesson development aligned to the standards; provide demonstration lessons; co-teach; assist in the collection of student artifacts to assess learning; perform as a critical, non-evaluative friend
- Participate in department team meetings

Content knowledge - Mathematics
Instructional technology knowledge
Deep familiarity with Ohio Learning Standards and online testing
Demonstrated coaching skills
Competent in use of Microsoft Office computer packages
Education:
Master’s degree in education and/or in content fields
Experience:
Experience as a master teacher in content areas; experience in leadership positions; experience in creating professional development for educatorsEssential physical demands and working environment:
Ability to see, communicate, hear and utilize electronic communication devices. Ability to travel to schools/sites in NE Ohio.
