The Donor Records Department is currently seeking a temporary part-time Donor Records Assistant for a 2 month assignment to help support departmental efforts with timely and accurate gift processing.  This position will assist with maintaining and organizing both electronic records as well as hard copy donor files in the Central File System.

Responsibilities 

Assist with gift processing, including memberships, utilizing the Tessitura database system, entering all transactions in a timely, accurate and consistent manner with gift processing protocol.
Organize, sort, scan and file donor paperwork including pledge agreements, acknowledgement letters, gift documents and tax receipts.
Respond to internal Customer Service Inquiries to ensure that requests are satisfied in a timely and complete manner.
Create new file folders as needed
Categorize and maintain efficiently organized folders in the Central File System to allow for easy retrieval of file folders and specific pieces of documentation
Follow policies and confidentiality protocol to safeguard data and personal information
Sort and prioritize returned mail by correspondence type and the USPS reason for non-delivery, and identify strategy for follow up

Minimum Qualifications

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with demonstrated experience
Experience with fundraising database or other data entry and record keeping applications
Dependable with respect to maintaining confidentiality and policies
Command of the English language, reading and writing and Mathematical skills
Ability to be productive while working independently
Reliable transportation to the museum facility
High School diploma
Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree and/or currently pursuing four-year degree
Experience working in a museum environment
Experience using Tessitura
