Ideastream Public Media seeks a strong journalist and multimedia storyteller to serve as a Digital Producer spotlighting the region’s diverse arts and culture scene. The Digital Producer will both create and curate high-quality digital content that includes audio and video elements for our Cleveland-based multiple media organization, home to Ohio’s largest PBS, NPR, and classical radio stations.

Reporting to the Arts and Culture Team’s Managing Producer, the Digital Producer is responsible for discovering, imagining and creating unique stories that connect with our audiences, including sharing news and information through digital storytelling and the arts and culture newsletter. In this role, you will direct and edit content created by reporters and producers for digital, TV and radio platforms, optimize content for user experience across digital platforms, identify ways to connect with new and existing audiences and assist in the development of strategic partnerships.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong writing and copy-editing skills as well as proficiency using video and audio editing software, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to leverage social media platforms for journalistic purposes. A Bachelor’s Degree in digital media, journalism, or a related field, and three to five years of digital journalism experience is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered. The salary range for this position is $50,000-$75,000.
