Development Gift Processor

Position Description:

Use strong organizational and problem-solving skills to enter data and engage with the data entry process. Serve as a customer-facing member of the team and support all fundraising efforts.

Reports to:

The Annual Fund and Special Events Manager

Essential Functions:

  • Process check, credit card and lockbox donations daily
  • Edit and print thank you notification letters and prepare them for mailing within four days of gift receipt
  • Maintain the accuracy of donor records and identify improvements to the CRM procedures that create efficiencies
  • Work with Database Administrator to provide checks and balances to ensure the most accurate entry and collaborate to improve data and reporting efficiency
  • Generate bi-monthly tribute notification reports to mail to families
  • Access the Suncoast database (health records) for tribute information as needed
  • Coordinate the donor matching gift process
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Assist with special projects as time permits

Qualifications, Education, Expertise and Knowledge:

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Two to five years gift processing experience
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents
  • Extensive computer skills: CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, including but not limited to Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Quick study with a bias for accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to work well under pressure, driven by an internal sense of urgency and will to succeed
  • Focuses on exceptional customer service
  • Excel as both an individual contributor and a key team member

Physical Requirements:

This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally. This work requires heavy computer usage and frequent phone usage. Work requires sitting 90% of the time, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, fingering, grasping and repetitive motions; vocal communication; hearing, and visual acuity. Employee is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Full-time, non-exempt
  • Salary range $36,000 - $45,000 annually
  • Competitive benefits package
