Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based multiple media organization and home to Ohio’s largest PBS, NPR, and classical radio stations, seeks an organized and collaborative communications professional to serve as our Development Communications Manager. In this role, you will focus on advancing the philanthropic goals of the organization by creating and implementing strategic communication plans.
Reporting to the Director of Revenue Marketing and Communications, the Development Communications Manager is responsible promoting and increasing awareness of Ideastream’s programs, public service, and audience engagement activities through print, digital and on-air channels. In this role, you will research, write, and coordinate the creation and distribution of philanthropic promotional materials with an accurate and consistent presentation to target distribution points as assigned. You will also work closely with the Digital and Marketing teams and utilize analytics and data to inform strategies that drive engagement with Ideastream and its programs and public service resulting in increased individual giving.
Qualified candidates will have demonstrated proficiency in CMS and e-Marketing platforms, Adobe software, Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent written and verbal communication. A Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, and three to five years of experience in development related communications or writing and editing experience with knowledge of the donor life cycle is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered. The starting salary for this position is $50,000 and is commensurate with experience.
