Fathom’s Creative Director leads and develops our team of skilled and dedicated designers. As Creative Director for a digital marketing agency, this person must also have a strong understanding of both brand development and integrated marketing solutions. In other words, demonstrating expertise, pitching innovative ideas and communicating results to clients and prospects should be second nature to you.
The Creative Director participates in the planning of effective campaigns, oversees the creative process and gives guidance to the creative team. Our ideal candidate has excellent leadership skills and vision, allowing them to maximize the talent of the creative team.
The ideal candidate will:
Walk the walk by clearly demonstrating knowledge in the creative field as it relates to digital marketing, based on experience and proven client success
Talk the talk through strong interpersonal and communication skills. We’re looking for a visionary leader who can clearly communicate strategies and plans to clients in a manner that spurs action
Balance project outcomes and professional relationships, leading multiple large-scale initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring superior quality throughout.
Advocate on behalf of our client’s customers, ensuring that our creative deliverables create a true connection with end users in order to engage, motivate and drive desired behaviors
Inspire unique and unconventional approaches to solve for our client’s creative needs
Possess outstanding leadership skills demonstrated by excellent communication, presentation skills and enthusiasm to take on challenging initiatives
Invite collaboration with our team of digital analysts to implement and consult on creative efforts
Have a passion for connecting the creative and analytical sides of marketing to test, measure and communicate performance Work hand in hand with account teams and within other areas of the business to ensure alignment
Act as a steward of the Fathom brand, providing strong guidance on how our brand comes to life visually and driving a standard of excellence across marketing, sales and client touchpoints
Welcome evolution, demonstrating experience with change management processes both internally and externally
Directly support, manage and grow a diverse team of creative experts
5+ years of experience in digital marketing or brand marketing
2+ years of management/team leadership experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Portfolio of work that displays an ability to turn an idea/concept into a visual piece
Strong understanding of industry trends and creative tools
Experience with a variety of software, including Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, etc.
Knowledge of CRO/UX principles and familiarity with tools such as CrazyEgg, Digioh, VWO, etc.
HTML, PHP and other Web experience is preferred
Entrepreneurial vision and success growing a business and/or new product line
Aggressiveness, bias for action and commitment to execution
